IPL Hair Removal for Women & Men

Here’s how it works: Unlike conventional IPL, which uses single, high-intensity pulses of light, SHR IPL uses lower energy levels but with rapid, continuous pulses. IPL hair removal and lasers are not effective on grey or light blonde hair due to having no pigment in the hair for the light to attract. 

6-10 sessions at 4-6 week intervals – depending on hair colour and skin type.

Maintenance visits are required 3 to 6 months after the initial course of treatments continuing to damage the hair follicles to slow the growth down consistently, and eventually after years of treatments the hair follicles may become completely destroyed leaving little growth for most clients.

The hair will appear to grow for 2 to 4 weeks and should then fall out. After the hair falls out you should have a hair free period for approximately 3 to 6 weeks. You will find the new growth will appear in patches due to the 28 day hair growth cycle, and there will only be a certain percentage of hairs. The growth patchiness will improve throughout the initial course of sessions but some is still to be expected.

Results can be seen for most clients in as little as one session.

Not at all! Most clients say my SHR IPL machine feels like a warm massage, unlike traditional IPL and lasers. 

Yes, absolutely! In fact, I recommend shaving the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment for the best results. Just avoid waxing or plucking, as these methods remove the hair root that IPL needs to target.
